Great design I’ve seen this week – No:4

Really like the stripped down new poster designs that Scott Hansen has been producing over at Iso50. For these designs he seems to have moved away from the busy design style he previous used and has complimented the imagery with space and small use of type. These two poster designs above were produced for […]

Great design I’ve seen this week – No:3

Designed by Landor in New York this is the new identity for the 9/11 Memorial Museum, that will be opening in 2011. A simple, timeless logo design, executed simply and respectfully this identity will be and deserves to be around for decades to come.

Illustrator Interview 9 – Zach Johnsen

Illustrator Interview 9 – Zach Johnsen 1. How long have you been an illustrator? Professionally?  For about 9 years now. 2. What inspires your work? Man, all types of inspiration.  Nature.  Man’s interaction with and so called “dominance” over nature. Tabloid magazines and crappy TV programming.  Advertising, especially old ads from the 30’s – 50’s. […]

Great design I've seen this week – No:1

Some very clever naming and packaging design going on here, Oloves reminds me of ‘Innocent’ a little. The designers here have created a name and identity that links nicely and I can see this being a success with this alone.

Banksy vs Bristol Museum Exhibition (Part 1)

Banksy vs Bristol Museum Exhibition (Part 1) As you can probably tell, like many I’m a big fan of Banksy’s work and have followed his progress and work over the years. When working at a design agency just off Soho Square in Central London around 9 or so years ago I came back from a […]
