Really like the stripped down new poster designs that Scott Hansen has been producing over at Iso50.
For these designs he seems to have moved away from the busy design style he previous used and has complimented the imagery with space and small use of type.
These two poster designs above were produced for the show Analog Visions
I great concept from Ryan Yoon & Harc Lee and featured over at Lovely Package not only is this an example of great design but it also makes perfect environmental sense as they explain:
“A convex logo substitutes colorfully sprayed can. Naked can help to reduce air and water pollution occurred in its coloring process. It also reduces energy and effort to separate toxic color paint from aluminum in recycling process. Huge amount of energy and paint required to manufacture colored cans will be saved. Instead of toxic paint, manufacturers process aluminum with a pressing machine that indicates brand identity on surface.”
Coca cola take note this is something you should be exploring!
This poster design and campaign from Johnson Banks for the yearly outdoor skating rink, at Somerset House, London caught my eye. Very subtle and in-keeping with the theme of and the season, they work really well.
The combination of the winter blues, frost patterns and little skaters really sits well together and should carry over when the idea is applied to other materials and merchandise.
