How good design can make great business sense

It’s very easy to see design as just the act of making something ‘pretty’ or more visually appealing. Some don’t see the huge amount of added value it can deliver to a business, this may be because it is quite difficult to measure the ‘return on invest’ it can bring. Hopefully the statistics within our infographic ‘How good […]

Everyone is busy these days, and small business owners are even busier.  You have things to do, places to be, people to manage and maybe no real need to employ a full-time social media manager.  That’s where Dot Social comes in. 40 Well known brands and the meaning behind their logos (infographic)

I’ve expressed my love for the FedEx logo design before, to me it is close to perfection, simple, clean and clever, it will stand the test of time. It’s use of negative space to create the arrow is just perfect. It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…

What if these tech companies had never rebranded…

The recent 7 tech logos before they became iconic article over at thenextweb.com got me thinking. What if these (now) very successful technology companies had decided to stick with their original logos and branding, never engage a design consultancy to update or refresh the design? Would they still be around today (I know Nokia have gone, but they were very successful […]

Ben and Jerry’s Has A Makeover

Even very successful brands like Ben & Jerry’s need to constantly keep their brand fresh and improve product clarity among increasing competition. The new ‘refresh’ of the whole Ben & Jerry’s packaging range looks to be a great move, retaining and simplifying the blue cloudy sky and green hills, placing the product flavour name within the […]

Have Mulberry Won Christmas?

My favourite Christmas ad so far. Mulberry are using the hashtag #WinChristmas for their campaign, they just might have.

Pizza Hut unveils new logo design

“The new logo design aims for the stripped back approach” Source: www.creativebloq.com Certainly an improvement on the past identities for this purveyor of Pizza, which made it look down market and in some cases damn right cheap. Not really the values that Pizza Hut is keen to communicate I’m sure.
