Recently came across this really interesting work of the photographer Bobby Neel Adams. Called ‘AgeMaps’
“Two photographs of the same person, from different periods in time (child and adult) are spliced together.
In this fusion a jump of time is established at the tear.”
I found this work really interesting and for some reason slightly disturbing, I don’t know whether its the tear across the face that makes it disturbing but it really sticks in my mind and I have returned to the site many times to view these and other works.
