How long does a migration take?
It depends on the size of your store. A straightforward move from WooCommerce or Squarespace with a few hundred products typically takes 2 to 4 weeks. Larger stores with thousands of products, complex integrations or custom features can take 6 to 10 weeks. We’ll give you a clear timeline at the start.
Will I lose my Google rankings?
Not if the migration is done properly. The biggest risk is broken URLs, so we create a 301 redirect for every old URL and move your meta titles, descriptions and alt text across.
Will my store be offline?
No. We build the Shopify store on a preview address and your current site stays live throughout. The final switch, pointing your domain to Shopify, typically takes less than an hour.
Can you migrate customer passwords?
No, and that’s true of every platform, because passwords are stored securely in a way that can’t be transferred. Customers get an email after the move to set a new one. Their purchase history, addresses and account details all come across.
Do I need Shopify Plus?
Usually not. The standard Shopify plans are enough for most stores. We’ll recommend the right plan for your size and needs. Plus is worth a look for very high-volume stores or those needing advanced B2B features.
How much does it cost?
Every store is different, so we quote after an initial review. It depends on the number of products, how complex the data is, the design work and any custom integrations.
What happens to my apps and integrations?
We audit them up front and find the Shopify equivalents. Most popular tools, such as Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Google Analytics, the Meta Pixel and accounting software, have good Shopify apps. We set them up and test them before launch.
