Just one Cornetto, give it to me
“Just one Cornetto, give it to me, delicious ice cream, of Italy…” showing my age there, but I think I’ll forever associate Cornetto with that song!
Cornetto has just refreshed their packs and branding in time for summer and looking pretty delicious they are too. A much more stripped down cleaner affair with simplified logotype and integration with the Wall’s heart logo.
These look much more stylish and ‘Instagramable’ with a signature colour per flavour used boldly and distinctively. They’ve also ditched the turgid brown colour they used in the past which is a relief.
“We kept the ‘creaminess’ and fluidity of the logo but made it simpler to give it a younger, fresher feel,” explained Mike Stride, creative director at Design Bridge. “We stripped it of its synthetic and artificial effects [and] this is combined with a new, natural texture on pack that adds a further sense of realness and tactility to the design.”
The design is doing everything it should, it looks fresh, bold, bright and inviting. Great work.
