Last year Dot Design were instructed to work on new website design concepts for Cheshire based Manor Skin Spa. Here’s some of the design work shown across 3 pages of the site. A cool calm and contemporary look was called for which is reflected in the colour palette and typeface choices. (more…)
Manchester based prestige car sales company Individual Cars required a completley redesigned and developed website that would be easy for them to add new stock and manage day to day. The site needed to feature the cars they had for sale as well as feed that stock out automatically to a number of car trading sites such as AutoTrader (amongst others) at a touch of a button.
We built the site to link into a CRM so that a database of customers could be managed and kept up to date for future promotions and email marketing campaigns.
Other features that were incorporated into the site was the ability for users to request a call back, sign up to the email newsletter, as well as being able to send through full details of their car if they wished to receive a valuation. Also featuring a finance calculator and with the rise of social media the ability to share cars via Facebook, Twitter and other platforms. The site has been built responsively adapting whether viewed on a PC, laptop, tablet or smart phone.

It tells you what the weight and size of the typeface is as well, a very handy little tool.
In our reality obsessed times we seem to like nothing better than having a spy hole into other people lives. Stefan Sagmeister’s new website reflects this by featuring live web-cam feed on it’s home page that includes vinyl graphic ‘buttons’ on the floor in order to navigate to areas of the site.
The new site is a simple but interesting idea that reflects the recent shift of business’s more transparent ways of working. Though you only really see the comings and goings of designers during their working day it does offer an insight into their working environment and routine. (more…)
